"Fuerza" is a look into immigration between two small cities: Goshen, Indiana, United States, and Apan, Hidalgo, Mexico. Many families are split between the two cities. This documentary focuses on the stories of people instead of the political and economic issues that are often shown. The production quality is very high, considering that it was made by four college students who received a grant to make it. It is not an entertaining film in the traditional sense of sit back, relax, and enjoy, but rather is emotionally moving. Fuerza is not an easy film to watch, and anger and saddness are more likely to be experienced rather than hope. It is educational, as it treats the situation in these two cities as a microcosm of the larger picture.
